AUDIX Clips AUI DCLAMP Editorial Review
The Audix DCLAMP Drum Tension Rod-mounted Gooseneck Microphone Mount has received a mixed reception from users, primarily around its build quality and durability. Many customers have expressed dissatisfaction with the materials used in the Construction of the clamp, noting that the plastic components feel flimsy and prone to breaking. Some users reported that the clamp broke after only a few uses, leading them to recommend alternative mounting solutions. However, there are positive accounts from musicians who have successfully used the DCLAMP during live performances, specifically on congas and bongos. Users appreciated the ease of adjustment provided by the flexible gooseneck and found the clamp to hold onto the drum tension rods securely throughout performances. The lightweight design, while criticized for its fragility, also allowed for quick mic placement adjustments. Overall, while the DCLAMP can be effective when used carefully in less demanding situations, concerns about its long-term reliability make it a somewhat risky investment for those Considering frequent or extensive use. **
