Spin Master Games All Toys & Games Editorial Review
The Glass Chess Set is an affordable and beautiful chess set that has received positive reviews from customers. Many customers note that the glass chess pieces add a touch of elegance and can even be used as decoration when not in use. The board itself is made of glass, but the pieces are not, which is a bonus for those who are concerned about the fragility of glass pieces. Customers have shared their experiences of learning to play chess on this board, with one customer saying that they were able to learn the game in just one night. Another customer mentions that they have a ministry that works with underserved children, and the children have become very interested in learning to play chess using this set. The durability of the set is also praised, with one customer expressing initial concerns about the fragility of the glass board but being pleasantly surprised by its durability. The set is also praised for its value, with one customer giving it a 5-star rating for its affordability. While the black color of the board has been an annoyance for some beginners, one customer found a solution by spray painting the pieces black to better differentiate them. Another customer mentions that they were originally looking for a checker board but found this chess set to be a nice option, hoping to use it to teach their wife how to play. Overall, the Glass Chess Set has received positive feedback for its affordability, beauty, and durability, making it a great option for beginners and those looking for an elegant chess set.
