Sennheiser Instrument Editorial Review
The Sennheiser e902 Cardioid Dynamic Mic for Kick Drum is receiving extremely positive reviews from customers. Musicians and audio engineers alike are raving about this microphone, with some even calling it the best live mic ever. The e902 is particularly well-suited for Yamaha kits, and customers report getting the exact sound they were looking for with minimal EQ. Even without effects or EQ, this mic records and works great live. Many customers have tried other kick drum mics, including the Shure 52A and AKG D112, but found that the e902 provided the best click and thump sound, with a nice tight bottom end and healthy presence. The only downside is that it is a bit pricey, but customers agree that it's worth the investment.
