The OTC Tools 7222 Injector Tube RemoverInstaller is an excellent tool for removing and installing injector cups on LB7 Duramax diesel engines. The cup is mounted onto the tool and lightly tapped into place with a hammer. It is also possible to use this tool to seat the cup the rest of the way after the first o-ring is manually seated. The copper crush washer should be kept on the injector for proper spacing, inserted into the cup, and fastened using the injector hold-downs. This tool is not suitable for use with a Ford 6.0 or a 2010 Mercedes-Benz GLK350 CDI injector. However, it is reusable after using the tool; a new cup Oring should be installed, and the bore should be cleaned up and tapped back in place. Customer reviews have been positive, with users stating that the tool worked as advertised and made removing the injector tubes simple. Some users mentioned that they wished the tool came with instructions or a plastic case instead of a cardboard box.
