Games Editorial Review
Kenji Kishimoto, one of the most beloved characters in the Shatter Me series, is the star in this collection of two novellas by Tahereh Mafi - Shadow Me and Reveal Me. The novellas are written from Kenji's point of view and provide readers with more insight into his backstory, personality, and inter-relationships with other characters in the series, particularly Nazeera. Shadow Me reveals Kenji's inner conflicts and his vulnerability, while Reveal Me explores the ramifications of Kenji's revelation about his family. Both novellas are well-written and complement the main series nicely. Even though they aren't necessary to read, fans of the series will appreciate the opportunity to delve deeper into Kenji's character. Mafi's writing style, pacing, and plot development continue to be a strength, making this a solid addition to the Shatter Me series.
